Abbpttabad: Deputy Commissioner Abbottabad, Sanaullah Khan Monday chaired a meeting to address the enhancement of facilities and the improvement of the bird aviary at Shimla Hill Park.



Recognized as a prominent tourist destination, Shimla Hill Park draws attention of visitors from across the country for leisure and recreation.



During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on upgrading the park’s amenities, including the installation of new swings for children and elevating the standards of the bird aviary. The Deputy Commissioner issued directives to the relevant departments, urging them to provide top-notch facilities, resolve existing issues in the park, and take immediate and effective measures to improve the bird aviary.



The meeting was attended by TMO Abbottabad Shakeel Hayat, DFO Wildlife, Assistant Director Local Government, and other officials. Participants put forth various proposals for the park’s development and stressed the importance of practical, citizen-centric solutions.



3 outlaws held; drugs, illegal arms recovered during search operation conducted in Tank

Tank: The Tank police on Monday apprehended three outlaws recovering drugs and illegal arms from their possession during search operation conducted the limits of City police station.

According to police spokesman, the district police led by District Police Officer (DPO) Aslam Nawaz Khan were utilizing all its available resources for eradication of all types of crime from the society.

As part of such efforts, a team of City police station led by SHO Mudassir Hayyat Khan under the supervision of SDPO City Circle Basharat Khan conducted a successful search operation in City area.

During the operation, the police checked 18 houses and arrested three accused namely Muhammad Mushtaq son of Qutub Din, Khanzada son of Sahib Khan and Shah Behraam son of Allah Wasaya.

The police also recovered two 30-bore pistols along with 10 cartridges, 3680 grams of hashish and 26 grams of Ice drug from them.

The police registered separate cases against the arrested accused and launched further investigations.

Council meeting discuss health facilities improvement

Khanewal: The 28th meeting of district health council discussed revamp services, facilities and infrastructure at government hospitals here on Monday.

Deputy Commissioner Salma Suleman while presiding over the meeting at DHQ hospital, received a detailed briefing from officials on the ongoing process of revamping hospitals, RHCs and BHUs besides service delivery and medicines availability at the DHQ hospital. Officials also apprized the DC of the estimate for construction of DHQ hospital boundary wall and universal health insurance.

The DC asked officials to ensure that work on up gradation of DHQ hospital and BHUs is completed

within specified period. She reaffirmed the administration's commitment to continue to work for the improvement in health facilities and service delivery as per orders of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. She ordered doctors and staff to deal with patients and their attendants politely, adding that every patient that enters the hospital is important.

DC for timely completion of Kotri overhead bridge

Hyderabad: The Deputy Commissioner Jamshoro Ghazanfar Ali Qadri on Monday emphasized that any negligence in public welfare projects will not be tolerated. He made these remarks while presiding over a meeting at Darbar Hall to ensure the timely completion of the Kotri overhead bridge project.

He directed the concerned officials to immediately report any hurdles in the project to ensure its smooth and timely completion for public benefit.

During the meeting, the officials briefed the Deputy Commissioner on various challenges. Assuring complete support, Ghazanfar Ali Qadri promised to address the issues on a priority basis using all available resources. He also committed to informing higher authorities in writing to resolve outstanding matters.
