Lahore: The Punjab Counter Narcotics Force (CNF) conducted 85 intelligence-based operations across seven divisions, including Lahore, during the past two weeks, arresting 93 drug traffickers and recovering 296 kilograms of narcotics worth more than Rs 53. 4 million.
According to a spokesperson on Tuesday, the recovered narcotics included hashish, opium, weed, ice (crystal meth), poppy husk, cocaine, heroin and liquor. The spokesperson said the CNF also seized 13 pistols, two sub-machine guns (SMGs), four rifles and seven drones from the arrested suspects during the operations.
Punjab CNF Director General Brigadier Mazhar Iqbal said the force’s major achievement was the dismantling of large drug trafficking networks operating across the province.
He said that since August 2025, the CNF had recovered 24. 7 tonnes of narcotics worth more than Rs 2. 23 billion. The DG said operations against drug peddlers and trafficking networks would continue under the vision of a “Drug-Free Punjab, Healthy and Safe Punjab. ”
