Chiniot:Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ayesha Rizwan visited various parks in the city to assess provision of quality recreational facilities for citizens and to identify areas for further improvement.
According to DC office, she inspected Mohallah Dilkhushab Park and the newly constructed Irfan Qaiser Sheikh Park, reviewing amenities, cleanliness and general arrangements.
During her visit, she directed Chief Officer Muhammad Arif to further enhance the park’s aesthetics and facilities.
She ordered installation of additional benches, swings and lighting, as well as planting of more seasonal flora and completion of other necessary measures.
She remarked that the park is a beautiful recreational spot where the district administration has taken significant steps, adding that its beauty and amenities would be further upgraded so that citizens, especially children and families could enjoy recreation in a pleasant and healthy environment.
Subsequently, the DC inspected the newly constructed Irfan Qaiser Sheikh Park, reviewing both ongoing and completed works.
She instructed the Chief Officer to ensure the park is handed over by the contractor within two days and opened to the public once all necessary facilities are fully in place.
She also issued directives for further tree plantation in the park, proper care of plants and special measures to make the environment lush and beautiful.
She stated that providing opportunities for healthy recreation to the public is among the district administration’s priorities and efforts to renovate parks and continuously improve their facilities are underway to achieve this goal.
