Sargodha: The Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) detected 15 cases of electricity theft and got 29 FIRs registered during its ongoing drive against power pilferage, a spokesperson said on Monday.
According to the spokesperson, FESCO task force teams conducted raids across the company’s operational areas to curb electricity theft.
During the crackdown, one suspect was arrested in Sargodha City while three FIRs were registered against consumers in Shahpur.
Five individuals were also caught red-handed stealing electricity through illegal connections and meter tampering.
The spokesperson said the operation against power theft would continue and warned that strict legal action would be taken against those involved in electricity pilferage.
