Peshawar: Capital City Police Peshawar on Monday organized a special blood donation camp at the Police and Services Hospital as part of Police Martyrs Week, with police officers and personnel donating blood to support thalassemia patients and others suffering from serious illnesses.
SP Headquarters Ali Gohar Khan visited the camp, accompanied by DSP Headquarters Wajid Shah and other police officers.
He met the officers and personnel participating in the drive and appreciated their commitment to humanitarian service.
Speaking on the occasion, SP Ali Gohar Khan said the blood donation camp was aimed at paying tribute to the sacrifices of police martyrs while reinforcing the force’s tradition of serving the nation beyond the call of duty.
He said police officers and personnel had always been ready to sacrifice their blood for the country and would continue to donate blood to help save the lives of patients in need.
The organizers of the blood donation camp also presented commemorative shields to SP Ali Gohar Khan and DSP Headquarters Wajid Shah in recognition of their support for the initiative.
