Following teaching and life of the holy Prophet (PBUH) can help build an ideal society: Deputy Mayor


Karachi: Deputy Mayor Karachi Salman Abdullah Murad has said that the blessed life of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), the last of all Prophets, is a source of guidance and enlightenment for the entire humanity.



By making the teachings and exemplary life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) a part of our practical lives, the foundation of a peaceful, morally upright and ideal society can be laid, he expressed these views in a message on Tuesday.



Salman Murad said that the blessed day of 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal is a moment of immense devotion, happiness and spiritual joy for Muslims, as it was on this day that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the Mercy for the Worlds, was born and bestowed upon humanity the teachings of peace, love, equality, brotherhood and service to humanity.



He said that on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH), we should not merely express our happiness but also pledge to practically follow the exemplary life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in our daily lives. We should promote love, tolerance, harmony and mutual respect in our attitudes and dealings with one another.



He further said that following the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is the best means of promoting peace and stability and strengthening unity and solidarity in society.



The Deputy Mayor said that, as every year, the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation has made special arrangements across the city for Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) so that citizens can participate in religious gatherings and celebrations with maximum convenience and ease.



He said that during the blessed month of Rabi-ul-Awwal, religious scholars, the civic administration and relevant institutions are working together and fulfilling their responsibilities so that Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) can be celebrated with devotion and respect, proper discipline and religious enthusiasm.
