Exports up 8% to Rs. Rs.823,553 million in July


Islamabad: Exports from Pakistan during July, 2026 amounted to Rs.823,553 million as against Rs. 762,578 million during July 2025 showing an increase of 8%, Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) reported.



On month-on-month basis the exports increased by 31.95% when compared to the exports of Rs. 624,159 million in June 2026, according to provisional PBS data.



The main commodities of exports during July, 2026 were knitwear (Rs. 148,409 million), readymade garments (Rs.127,888 million), bed wear (Rs. 85,768 million), cotton cloth (Rs. 39,362 million), rice others (Rs.34,355 million), towels (Rs.29,573 million), madeup articles, excluding towels and bedwears (Rs. 21,466 million), basmati rice (Rs. 21,272 million), petroleum products, excluding top naptha (Rs.21,031 million) and cotton yarn (Rs.18,496 million).



Imports into Pakistan during July, 2026 amounted to Rs. 1,932,034 million (provisional) as against Rs. 1,922,982 million in June, 2026 and Rs. 1,658,966 million during July, 2025 showing an increase of 0.47% over June, 2026 and of 16.46% over July, 2025.



The main commodities of imports during July, 2026 were Electrical machinery and apparatus (Rs. 153,001 million), petroleum crude (Rs.143,920 million), petroleum products (Rs.136,827 million), palm oil (Rs.99,927 million), plastic materials (Rs.90,531 million), iron and steel (Rs.87,220 million), iron and steel scrap (Rs.67,820 million), motor cars (ckd/skd) (Rs.52,298 million), raw cotton (Rs.51,876 million) and natural gas liquified (Rs.49,176 million).
