Peshawar: Hamza Foundation Welfare Thalassemia Centre here Thursday organized a free dental screening and oral healthcare service camp for children suffering from thalassemia and other blood related ailments.
MPhil Community Dentistry students Naila and Tajda Khan conducted dental examinations of patients and give them awareness about oral health and dental hygiene. They also educated patients and their families on the importance of proper dental care and preventive oral health practices.
Speaking on the occasion, Hamza Foundation Chairman Ijaz Ali Khan appreciated the dedication and efforts shown by dentistry students in serving the community. He said such initiatives would help improve the quality of life of thalassemia patients while creating greater awareness about preventive oral healthcare.
He urged the government, business community, philanthropists and other affluent segments to play an active role in supporting these patients and helping save their lives.
