Hyderabad: The Mayor of Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (HMC) Kashif Shoro has congratulated the officials and staff of Hyderabad Water and Sewerage Corporation (HWandSC) for swiftly draining out rainwater earlier this week.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the mayor appreciated the corporation for draining the accumulating rainwater within a few hours after the downpour on Sunday.
He acknowledged that the staff performed well despite the financial crunch being dealt with by the corporation and its consequences for the employees.
Shoro claimed that the past records of the corporation and its predecessor Water and Sanitation Authority (WASA) evidently show that a smaller amount of rain affected Hyderabad for a longer time as compared to the recent downpour.
He expressed hope that HWandSC’s employees would continue to work with the same spirit in the future.
