Hyderabad: The Health Department Shaheed Benazirabad (SBA) organized a free Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, and HIV screening and General Medical Camp in Village Rahimoo Keerio, Tehsil Sakrand, to provide healthcare services at the community level.
A large number of residents, including women, children, and elderly people, attended the camp, where they received free medical check-ups, diagnosis of various illnesses, screening for Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, and HIV, medical consultation, and essential medicines without any cost. On the occasion, participants were also educated about the prevention of communicable diseases, importance of personal hygiene, healthy lifestyle practices, and early diagnosis for effective treatment.
Medical services at the camp were provided by Dr. Riaz Shah, Deputy Director CDC, Dr. Mansoor Ahmed, In-charge Hepatitis Site Sakrand, Dr. Shahzad Chandio of Sakrand Hospital, Muhammad Ahmed (DSC), and the District Health Office team.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Riaz Ahmed Shah said that, on the special directives of Sindh Minister for Health Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho and under the supervision of District Health Officer Dr. Muddassar Hussain Domki, the free medical camp organized in Village Rahimoo Keerio provided healthcare services to more than 400 people, including free medical consultation, screening, treatment, and medicines.
He further said that the objective of the camp was to deliver quality healthcare services free of cost at the doorsteps of the people. He emphasized that timely diagnosis and treatment of Hepatitis and other communicable diseases can significantly help prevent their spread, adding that awareness and screening activities would continue across the district to protect public health.
