Peshawar: Capital City Police and Khyber Police have established joint checkpoints in suburban areas of Warsak Division as part of enhancing security measures.
The checkpoints have been established on the directives of CCPO Peshawar, Dr. Mian Saeed to maintain law and order and protect lives of people.
Joint checkpoints would be supervised by SP Warsak Division Tayyab Jan, Mathra Police Station and Malagori Police Station of Khyber district.
The check posts have been established in Sakhi Pul, Jamrud Road and Shagai to prevent criminal activities and closely monitor suspicious movements. During the checking, suspicious individuals, vehicles with tinted windows and motorcyclists were thoroughly screened.
Police officials said the joint checkpoints were aimed at preventing crime, keeping a close watch on the movement of suspected and criminal elements and ensuring the safety and security of citizens.
