Faisalabad: A gathering at Punjab Council of Arts Faisalabad division turned into a vibrant expression of national pride and solidarity with Saudi Arabia and Turkey as the speakers hailed ‘Makkah Defense Agreement’ as a significant development capable of opening a new chapter in the longstanding brotherly relations between three countries and contributing to peace and stability in the region.
The ceremony featured stirring national songs. with artists of the council paying tribute through their performances to the historic friendship and cooperation between Pakistan. Saudi Arabia and Turkey highlighting the message of patriotism and unity of the Muslim Ummah.
People from different walks of life. besides students. teachers and citizens. attended the event. Prominent writer Dr Jafar Hasan Mubarak. addressing the ceremony. stressed that mutual cooperation among countries was indispensable for promoting peace and stability in the region.
He said that ‘Makkah Defense Agreement’ marked a new chapter in relations between brotherly countries and would help strengthen collective efforts for peace and stability in the region. Dr Qamar. in his remarks. said that Pakistan-Saudi Arabia-Trkiye relations were deeply rooted in religious. cultural and historical bonds. He expressed hope that the agreement would usher in a better future for the people of these countries and further consolidate their longstanding ties. The artists of Punjab Council of Arts presented national songs centered on love for the homeland and unity of Muslim Ummah.
Through their performances. they highlighted the enduring friendship between Pakistan. Saudi Arabia and Trkiye. and paid tribute to the spirit of cooperation and brotherhood that had historically brought the three nations closer. Deputy Director Arts Council Imran Raza and Assistant Director Zahra Batool said that the Arts Council was committed to promoting public awareness of important national issues through art. literature and culture.
They said that cultural and artistic activities provided an effective platform for conveying messages of national unity. patriotism. brotherhood and solidarity to society. particularly the younger generation. Later. special prayers were offered for security. progress and prosperity of the country.
