Peshawar: The funeral prayer of police constable Shah Mast Khan, who was martyred in firing by unidentified terrorists in the Mehr Gul Kalay Meera Kachori area within the jurisdiction of Chamkani Police Station last night, was offered at Malik Saad Shaheed Police Lines here on Friday.
Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi and Inspector General of Police, Zulfikar Hameed attended the funeral prayer, along with senior officers and personnel of the Pakistan armed forces and police.
The governor laid a wreath on the coffin of the martyred constable and met his family members and fellow police personnel.
He paid tribute to Shah Mast Khan for his sacrifice and prayed for patience and strength for his bereaved family and colleagues.
Capital City Police Officer Peshawar, Mian Saeed and other senior police and military officials also attended the funeral.
A smartly turned-out police contingent presented a guard of honour to the martyred official.
