Mehfil-e-Milad held to highlight Seerat, teachings of Holy Prophet (PBUH)


Rawalpindi: A solemn and spiritually enriching Mehfil-e-Milad (PBUH) was organised at 22 Number Central Jamia Mosque in connection with Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH), with a large number of religious scholars, Naat reciters and devotees attending the gathering.



Religious scholars and speakers highlighted the significance of Rabi-ul-Awwal and shed light on the blessed birth, Seerat-e-Tayyaba (PBUH) and noble status of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as Rahmat-ul-lil-Alameen, the mercy for all worlds.



The speakers said Muslims celebrate the month of Rabi-ul-Awwal with great religious fervour in connection with the blessed birth of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).



They described his birth as a great blessing for humanity and said his teachings convey a message of love, brotherhood, peace, tolerance and compassion.



The gathering was attended by Mehboob Qari Farooq Qadri, Chaudhry Sher, Raja Muhammad Asif Khan, Muhammad Habib-ur-Rehman Al-Baqi and other religious scholars and personalities. Arrangements for the event were made under the supervision of Qasim Shah.



Naat reciters presented devotional poetry in praise of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) while participants expressed their love and devotion through Durood-o-Salam.



The speakers said organising Mehafil-e-Milad and reciting Naat and Durood-o-Salam during the blessed month of Rabi-ul-Awwal was an expression of love and devotion to the Holy Prophet (PBUH).



The ceremony concluded with a special prayer for the security, unity, peace and prosperity among the Muslim Ummah.
