Larkana: In a police encounter in Larkana, two highly wanted car lifters were killed, and weapons along with a stolen vehicle were recovered on Wednesday. Within the jurisdiction of Waleed Police Station, in the Arija Road area, police attempted to stop a vehicle, upon which the armed suspects opened fire on the police. In the retaliatory fire by the police, two armed suspects were killed. From the possession of the deceased suspects, one rifle, one pistol, and one stolen Suzuki Mehran car were recovered. The stolen car is registered under case number 195/2026 at Bahadur Abad Police Station, Karachi.
The deceased suspects have been identified as Gulshan Gopang and Ghulam Shabeer Kalhoro, the ringleaders of an inter-provincial car-lifting gang. Both deceased suspects were implicated in over 100 car thefts and dozens of serious criminal cases combined. Previously, these suspects had also been arrested in an injured state during a police encounter in Larkana and had been sent to jail. Moreover, a vehicle stolen from Karachi had previously been recovered from these same suspects within Larkana as well.
Criminal records of the deceased suspects have started pouring in from various police stations across Karachi, Khairpur Mirs, Ghotki, and Larkana. These include Saddar Police Station (Karachi), Artillery Maidan, Defence, Korangi, Bahadur Abad, Aziz Bhatti, Model Colony, Mubeena Town, Johar Abad, New Town, Darakshan, Gazri, Jamshed Quarter, AVLC (Karachi) A-Section Police Station (Ghotki district) Gambat Police Station and Surah Police Station (Khairpur Mirs district) and Waleed Police Station, Tehsil Rahmat Pur, Aqil, Bakrani, and Ali Gohar Abad Larkana district.
