Peshawar: Authorities in Orakzai district have finalised comprehensive arrangements for Pakistan’s Independence Day celebrations on August 14, with a focus on ensuring smooth, secure and festive events across the district.
A meeting chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Yasir Salman reviewed preparations on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Yousaf Ali Mohmand, said a press release issued here. Heads of major government departments attended the meeting.
The meeting discussed arrangements for the national flag-hoisting ceremony, sanitation, security, traffic management, sports activities, tree plantation, facilities for persons with disabilities and illumination of government and other public buildings.
The officials were directed to complete all assigned tasks within the stipulated time and ensure maximum facilities for citizens during the celebrations.
The participants expressed their commitment to holding Independence Day events with national spirit, enthusiasm and discipline, while maintaining effective security and public convenience throughout the district.
