Parliamentary Secretary for Housing reviews RDA development projects, directs strict action against illegal Housing Schemes


Rawalpindi: The Parliamentary Secretary for Housing Urban Development and Public Health Engineering (HUDandPHE), Sultan Bajwa, reviewed the ongoing development projects of the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) during a meeting held at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Rawalpindi, and appreciated the authority’s efforts to improve infrastructure and promote planned urban development in the city.



During the meeting, the Director Engineering, RDA, Komal Chaudhry, gave a detailed presentation on various ongoing and completed RDA projects.



She briefed the participants on the progress of major development initiatives and highlighted the achievements made by the authority.



The Director Engineering informed the meeting that the Rawalpindi Ring Road (RRR) project has been completed and will be inaugurated very soon.



She also provided details regarding the project’s development and completion status.



The Parliamentary Secretary, Sultan Bajwa, appreciated the performance of the RDA and acknowledged the efforts of its officers and staff in completing major development projects. He emphasized the importance of ensuring transparency, quality, and timely completion of development schemes for the benefit of the citizens.



The Chief Planner, RDA, Muhammad Tahir Meo, gave a detailed presentation on approved and illegal housing schemes operating in Rawalpindi. He briefed the meeting about the status of housing schemes and the regulatory measures being taken by the authority.



Taking notice of the presence of illegal housing schemes, the Parliamentary Secretary directed the RDA to take strict actions against illegal housing schemes in accordance with the law. He further directed to intensify enforcement measures and ensure that citizens are protected from unauthorized and unapproved housing projects.



Sultan Bajwa stressed that effective regulation of housing schemes is essential for planned urban development and called upon the RDA to continue its efforts to ensure compliance with approved rules and regulations.



The Additional Director General RDA Masood Ahmad Bukhari, Director Administration RDA Nosheen Israr, Director Land RDA Ghazanfar Ali Awan, Director Estate Management RDA Iftikhar Ali, Director Finance RDA Masood Arshad, Deputy Director IT RDA Dawood Khalid and others attended the meeting.
