Police foil 36Kg heroin smuggling attempt to Punjab


Peshawar: Chamkani police arrested two alleged peddlers and seized over 36 kilograms of heroin during a targeted operation. Acting on suspicious movement near Motorway Blockade, police personnel intercepted a car and recovered a total of 36. 400 kilograms of heroin hidden within the vehicle.



The two suspects taken into custody during the raid were identified as Amin, an Afghan national, and wife of Abdul Qayyum. Police officials said that the duo was allegedly attempting to smuggle contraband to Punjab using a passenger car. A formal case has been registered at Chamkani police station, and further investigation is currently underway.
