Quetta: Deputy Commissioner Quetta, Meherullah Badini chaired an important meeting on the upcoming fIPV and OPV polio campaign, scheduled to begin on August 31.
Representatives from Wifaq-ul-Madaris, the Private Schools Association, Education Department, Police, and Health Department attended the session to finalize arrangements and strategy.
The meeting reviewed preparations for the special anti-polio drive, which would cover all government and private schools as well as madrasas across Quetta. Under the plan, children aged zero to five years would be administered polio vaccines and drops to ensure maximum coverage.
Deputy Commissioner Mehrullah Badini directed all relevant departments to ensure effective arrangements during the campaign and guarantee vaccine access to every child within the specified age group. He emphasized that no child should be left unvaccinated and that strict monitoring must be carried out in schools and madrasas.
Appealing to parents, madrasa administrators, and school heads, Mehrullah Badini urged full cooperation with polio teams. ‘It is essential that every child under five receives polio drops and vaccines to protect them from this crippling disease, ‘ he said.
The campaign reflected the government’s commitment to eradicating polio and safeguarding the health of future generations. Special prayers and appeals were made for collective responsibility to ensure the success of the initiative.
