Rawalpindi: A rally was held on Girja Road here on Sunday to mark Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) under the auspices of Milad Markaz Dhoke Syedan.
A large number of religious scholars, spiritual leaders, local notables and devotees of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) participated in the procession.
The rally was led by Haji Zafar Iqbal, president Central Milad Procession Committee Cantt. Chaudhry Sajid, Raza Mustafa Noorani, Sahibzada Usman Ghani, Nazar Qadri, Qaiser Sultani and Qazi Shakoor Elahi were also among the participants.
The rally was started from Ghausia Haveli, passed through various routes and concluded at Dhoke Syedan Chowk.
Addressing the participants, Haji Zafar Iqbal said the advent of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) era ended the darkness of ignorance and illuminated the world with the light of truth.
He said the Holy Prophet (PBUH) was a benefactor of humanity and a mercy for all worlds, adding that following his teachings was the path to success in both this world and the hereafter.
