Rally taken out to mark Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir in Tando Adam


Sanghar: Tando Adam taluka administration organised a rally on Wednesday to observe Youm-e-Istehsal and expressed solidarity with the people of illegally Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.



Led by Assistant Commissioner Hunain Tariq Shahani, the rally started from the Revenue Secretariat and concluded at the Tando Adam Press Club. It was attended by DSP Imtiaz Ali Domki, Mukhtiarkar Imam Din Larak, Assistant Mukhtiarkar Waseem Panhwar, Chief Municipal Officer Malik Abdul Hameed, Mukhtiar Umrani, Ali Bhano, PT AlF leader Lakha Dino Khaskheli, TEO Rao Nasir Ali, Waseem Channa, Shahid Abbasi, Malik Irshad, officials from various government departments, police personnel and a large number of citizens.



Participants chanted slogans in support of the Kashmiri people and against India’s policies in the disputed territory. A one-minute silence was observed before the rally in memory of those who lost their lives in occupied Kashmir.



Speaking to the media, Assistant Commissioner Hunain Tariq Shahani, Mukhtiarkar Imam Din Larak, DSP Imtiaz Ali Domki and other speakers said India’s decision on Aug 5, 2019, to revoke the special constitutional status of Jammu and Kashmir was a violation of United Nations resolutions and international law.



They reiterated Pakistan’s continued moral, political and diplomatic support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination and urged the international community to take notice of alleged human rights violations in the occupied territory and play its role in ensuring the implementation of UN resolutions.



Meanwhile, the City Higher Secondary School also organised a solidarity rally from its City Campus to the Tando Adam Press Club under the leadership of Suhail Ahmed and Anwar Sheikh. A large number of students and residents participated in the event to express support for the people of Kashmir.
