Faisalabad: Rescue-1122 control room received 13,441 emergency calls and the rescue teams promptly responding on the calls provided assistance to 13,399 persons during the month of September.
According to the rescue spokesperson here Friday, at least 2,560 calls were of traffic accidents, 9212 of medical, 132 of fire eruption, 257 of crime, 15 of drowning, 3 of building collapse and 977 miscellaneous.
Additionally, the rescue ambulances shifted 165 dead bodies from hospitals to home and 114 entangled birds and animals were also rescued.
About, 7643 injured were provided first aid and 5286 were moved to hospitals of the districts.
A total of 470 people lost their lives on the spot during different emergencies.
