Shikarpur police, intelligence agencies arrest 17 undocumented foreign nationals in joint crackdown


Sukkur: Shikarpur Police, in coordination with intelligence agencies, on Monday conducted a joint crackdown against undocumented foreign nationals and arrested 17 individuals, including 10 men, five women and two children.



According to police spokesperson, the operation was carried out on the directives of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shikarpur Muhammad Kaleem.



Acting on a tip off, police and intelligence personnel intercepted a van near the Kundan Bypass and took all 17 undocumented foreign nationals into custody.



According to police, the individuals were travelling from Shikarpur to Karachi when law enforcement agencies received information about their movement. Police and intelligence agencies responded promptly and carried out the operation, leading to their arrest.



The successful joint operation was conducted under the supervision of ASP City Muhammad Asif, with the participation of Shikarpur Police and intelligence agencies.



Police said that after the completion of legal formalities, the detained individuals would subsequently be repatriated to Afghanistan in accordance with the prescribed legal procedure.



SSP Shikarpur Muhammad Kaleem urged the public to immediately inform the nearest police station or contact the police helpline at 15 if they have information regarding the presence of any undocumented foreign nationals, so that timely legal action can be taken.
