Rawalpindi: Easy business visa processing, considering fee reductions and expanding trade across halal food, renewable energy, healthcare, and digital technologies will drive expanded economic cooperation between Pakistan and Indonesia.
The trade facilitation commitments were announced during an official visit by Indonesian Ambassador Chandra W. Sukotjo, leading a diplomatic delegation, to the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) on Monday. The delegation was received by RCCI President Usman Shaukat and Vice President Fahad Barlas.
Ambassador Sukotjo formally invited Pakistani businesses to participate in the 41st Trade Expo Indonesia, scheduled for October 14-1 this year, as a primary platform to secure export contracts and joint ventures.
RCCI President Usman Shaukat urged both nations to leverage existing diplomatic ties into balanced trade volumes by increasing Pakistani exports, arranging joint trade delegations, and establishing business-to-business linkages in manufacturing and value-added goods.
The Ambassador was accompanied by Head of Economic Affairs, Ingan Malen, Economic Section staff Qurrat Ul Ain, Socio-Culture Section staff Muhammad Khairul Ajyal and Dicky Rachmat Pauji.
