Sukkur: Under the Sindh Government’s vision of ‘Roshan Ghar – Roshan Sindh’. the distribution and installation of Solar Home System (SHS) kits among eligible households across Sindh is continuing.
A total of 2. 615 eligible families in 13 districts were provided with solar kits. said SRSO Spokesperson here on Monday.
According to district-wise details. 404 kits were distributed in Umerkot. 235 in Tharparkar. 146 in Sanghar. 210 in Mirpurkhas. 54 in Larkana. 142 in Thatta. 99 in Kashmore-Kandhkot. 78 in Sukkur. 248 in Sujawal. 131 in Shikarpur. 348 in Badin. 205 in Tando Muhammad Khan and 315 in Khairpur Mirs.
The kits are being distributed under the Solar Home System Project of the Energy Department. Government of Sindh. which is being implemented by the Sindh Rural Support Organization (SRSO).
The project aims to provide reliable. affordable and sustainable solar energy solutions to 275. 000 households across 30 districts of Sindh through a transparent selection process.
He said the eligibility of beneficiary families was verified through a transparent scrutiny process as per the criteria set by the Sindh Government. and the kits were provided completely free of cost.
SRSO clarified that no fee or charge is taken at any level for survey. verification. distribution and installation of the solar home system kits.
