Karachi: The Governor of Sindh Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi attended the 36th Farzandan-e-Pakistan Educational Awards 2026 as chief guest and distributed shields among students, who secured prominent positions in Matriculation and Intermediate examinations.
Addressing the ceremony, the Governor said the day belonged to the students who achieved success through their hardwork, dedication and abilities. He said the achievements of these students were a source of pride for their parents, teachers and the entire country.
He said that there was no shortcut to success, adding that hardwork, merit, determination and self-confidence were the foundations of achievement.
He urged the young people to set clear goals, work consistently and place their complete trust in Allah Almighty.
Highlighting the role of women, the Governor said the Holy Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) held women in the highest regard, while women play a fundamental role in building a developed society.
He said that Fatima Jinnah, Begum Ra’ana Liaquat Ali Khan, Benazir Bhutto, Maryam Nawaz Sharif and other women had rendered significant services to the country and nation.
He urged young people to remain grateful to their religion, country, parents and teachers and to have complete confidence in their abilities. He said that a clear destination, continuous struggle and strong belief were essential for success.
The Governor said that more than 700,000 laptops had so far been distributed under the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, with merit being the sole criterion for receiving laptops. He urged young people to benefit from such opportunities through their talent and hardwork.
He also encouraged the youth to benefit from the Prime Minister’s Youth Digital Hub, saying it offered valuable facilities, training and modern opportunities. He said the present era was defined by technology and digital skills, and young people must acquire modern knowledge and skills to demonstrate their capabilities at the global level.
He said that the Prime Minister had launched Vision 2047, and today’s youth would play a key role in achieving this vision.
He said today’s students would lead the country in the future, therefore they must move forward with determination, hardwork, courage and confidence.
Congratulating the position holders, the Governor of Sindh said their success was not merely a personal achievement but also a sign of Pakistan’s bright future. He said that the youth could take Pakistan towards new heights of development and prosperity through education, character, skills and their abilities.
