Attock: The Department of Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Mal organized a dignified seminar at Sanat Zar Attock to mark Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir (Kashmir Exploitation Day). The primary objective of the seminar was to express unwavering solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and to raise awareness about India’s unilateral actions of August 5, 2019.
The event was attended by political and social figures, government officials, teachers, and students in large numbers. Addressing the participants, the speakers reiterated Pakistan’s continued support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination and condemned the ongoing human rights violations in the occupied territory.
Begum Khalid Musarrat Rana, Chief Guest and District President of the Pakistan Muslim League (N) Women’s Wing, Attock, said that August 5 marked one of the darkest days in Kashmir’s history, when India deprived the Kashmiri people of their constitutional rights. She emphasized that the people of Pakistan would continue to extend their moral, political, and diplomatic support to the Kashmiri cause until the people of Kashmir achieve their legitimate rights.
Rashida Siddique, District General Secretary of the PML-N Women’s Wing, expressed grave concern over the persistent human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and urged the international community to take effective notice of the atrocities being committed against the Kashmiri people.
Habib Khalid, Deputy Director of Social Welfare, Attock, stated that it was the collective responsibility of every Pakistani to keep the younger generation informed about the history of the Kashmir freedom movement and to continue raising the voice of the oppressed Kashmiri people at every forum.
Arif Mehmood Siddiqui, Manager of Sanat Zar Attock, thanked all the distinguished guests for their participation and highlighted that empowering women was essential for building a strong, enlightened society capable of standing up for the rights of oppressed communities.
Teachers and students of Sanat Zar Attock also addressed the gathering and passionately expressed solidarity with the people of Kashmir, reaffirming their commitment to supporting their just cause.
The seminar concluded with a special collective prayer for the early freedom of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, for the elevation of the ranks of the Kashmiri martyrs, and for the peace, stability, and prosperity of Pakistan. The participants pledged to continue highlighting the Kashmir issue on social media and every available platform until justice is achieved for the Kashmiri people.
