Sialkot observes Youm-e-Istehsal to show solidarity with Kashmir


Sialkot: Sialkot observed Youm-i-Istehsal (Exploitation Day) on Wednesday with a central ceremony and rally to express solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).



Deputy Commissioner Awais Mushtaq attended the ceremony as the chief guest. According to a spokesperson for the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Kashmiri leaders, teachers, students, traders and representatives of different walks of life participated in the event.



The participants observed a one-minute silence in solidarity with the people of IIOJK, followed by the national anthem. Carrying Pakistani and Kashmiri flags and banners, they later took out a rally from Kutchery Chowk to reaffirm support for the Kashmir cause.



Speaking on the occasion, the deputy commissioner said Pakistan stood firmly with the people of IIOJK and reiterated the country’s continued support for their right to self-determination. He said the entire nation remained united in support of the Kashmiri people.
