Islamabad: Charg© d’Affaires of the US Embassy in Pakistan Natalie Baker joined the Pakistan Tenpin Bowling Federation to celebrate Pakistan’s Independence Day and the enduring US-Pakistan friendship.
The event was part of the US government’s ‘Decade of Sport’ initiative, aimed at promoting people-to-people contacts through sports. ‘Sports diplomacy in action, one strike at a time, ‘ Baker said during the ceremony.
Officials of the Pakistan Tenpin Bowling Federation welcomed the US delegation and highlighted the role of sports in strengthening bilateral ties and youth engagement. The celebration featured friendly bowling matches and cake cutting to mark Pakistan’s Independence Day.
