Sargodha: A woman was killed while her husband and three-year-old daughter sustained injuries when a bus hit their motorcycle near Jhagian Syedan, Shahpur, on Sunday.

According to Rescue 1122, a bus was travelling from Khushab towards Sargodha when it collided with a motorcycle.Three members of the same family were riding the motorcycle when the accident occurred.

The woman died at the scene, while her husband and daughter sustained injuries.

The deceased was identified as 28-year-old Iqra Batool, a resident of Khora, Wadi-e-Soon, Khushab. Her husband, 30-year-old Muhammad Daniyal, and three-year-old daughter Anser Fatima sustained injuries in the accident.

Rescue personnel provided immediate medical assistance to the injured and shifted the body of the deceased woman to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital Shahpur.

Shahpur police started investigation.
