LAHORE: Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) delegation led by Special Assistant of Prime Minister (SAPM) on Youth Affairs Usman Dar called on Provincial Minister for Commerce and Industries Mian Aslam Iqbal here at Civil Secretariat Thursday.
The delegation apprised the minister about the matters and issues related to export processing zone Sialkot.
The delegation demanded for setting up banking facilities in export processing zone Sialkot and also for speedy development work in the zone.
Provincial Minister Mian Aslam Iqbal assured the delegation to set up banking facility beside, speedy completion of development work.
Industrial hubs could enhance employment opportunities by complete resettlement, he added.
Mian Aslam asked the owners of plots in export processing zones to initiate their construction work till 30 December.
Provincial minister also directed to provide a piece of land for establishing a bank in export processing zone. The government would continue to support the industrialists however, they have to set up the industrial units according to their commitment, minister added.
SCCI President Qaisar Iqbal Baryar expressed gratitude over the assurance of resolving their problems and said industrialists would extend their fullest cooperation for complete resettlement of export processing zone Sialkot.
Secretary industries and commerce Dr Wasif Khursheed, Additional Secretary, DG Industries, MD PSIC and other officers were also present.
