RAWALPINDI:A delegation of ‘Anjuman-e-Tajiran’ Saddar met with President Cantt Board and Station Commander Rawalpindi Brig Salman Nazar and apprised him about issues being faced in Saddar Bazaar.
President, Central ‘Anjuman-e-Tajiran’ Cantt, Zahid Bakhtarvi, General Secretary, Zafar Qadri, Sheikh Hafeez, Asim Malik, Senior Vice President RCCI, Mushtaq Khan, President Ghakkar Plaza, Mohammad Sajad, President Zarkon Plaza, Mian Farhan, Chairman City Center, Ch. Farooq Anjum, President Saddar Bazaar, Muhammad Asif Shareef, President Tire Trades, Nadir Ali, President Kamran Market, Noor Waris, Vice President, Anjuman-e-Tajran Rawalpindi Cantt, Talha Ahmed Rana, Secretary General Mall Road, Muhammad Ali Danial, Vice Chairman, Singapore Plaza, Chaudhary Basharat Ali, President Mall Plaza, Munir Baig Mirza, President Singapore Plaza and others were included in the delegation.
On the occasion, Additional Cantonment Executive Officer, Maria Jabeen, Deputy Cantonment Executive Officer, Ghulam Sabir Basra, Secretary Cantt Board, Qaiser Mehmood, Cantt Engineer, Mazhar Abbas, and Secretary Zone-I, Amjad Nadeem were also present.
Additional Cantonment Executive Officer, Maria Jabeen gave a detailed briefing about the issues being faced in Saddar bazaar. The delegation also apprised the President Cantonment Board about problems being faced by the traders and citizens in Saddar particularly illegal parking issue.
The President Cantonment Board said existing entry gate of Potohar Parking was from Haider Road which should also be from Bank Road side to facilitate the citizens and reduce the congestion on Bank Road.
He said there were two parking areas in Saddar to address parking problem, adding, security system of the parking areas would further be improved.
He informed that LED lights would be installed in all markets of Saddar Bazaar which would also help save electricity.
Brig. Salman Nazar said violation of the building by-laws would not be tolerated.
He directed the authorities concerned to remove encroachments from Saddar Bazaar and make all-out efforts to facilitate the citizens.
The delegation thanked Brig. Salman Nazar for his assurance of resolving the issues.
