Chiniot: A monthly meeting to review district revenue recovery was held on Sunday under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue Muhammad Ahmar Ali, with officials reviewing department-wise recovery targets, collections achieved so far and the overall progress of revenue generation across the district.
During the meeting, the Additional Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers to take effective measures to achieve the assigned targets for collection of government dues and taxes and accelerate the recovery process. He warned that negligence or laxity in revenue recovery would not be tolerated and directed officers to improve their performance.
On this occasion, Officials of various departments briefed the meeting on their respective recovery targets, progress made so far and future action plans. The meeting also reviewed measures being adopted to improve revenue collection and recover outstanding arrears.
Muhammad Ahmar Ali also directed the officers to take practical measures in the field for the recovery of outstanding dues and ensure achievement of monthly targets at all costs. He stressed that all departments must maintain effective monitoring and take timely action to improve overall revenue recovery in the district.
