Chiniot: Police arrested two alleged drug peddlers in separate operations in Chiniot district and recovered a total of 2, 020 grams of hashish from their possession, police said on Sunday.
According to police, a team led by Chenab Nagar Police Station SHO Inspector Saifullah, along with Sub-Inspector Saqib Ali, arrested an alleged drug peddler during an operation at Chhani Qureshi graveyard and recovered 1, 460 grams of hashish from his possession.
In another operation, a team headed by Lalian Police Station SHO Inspector Allah Ditta, along with ASI Javed Iqbal, arrested another alleged drug peddler and recovered 560 grams of hashish from his possession.
Police registered separate cases against the arrested suspects under relevant provisions of the narcotics laws and launched further investigation into the cases.
