Quetta: Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti chaired a high-level meeting to review preparations for Independence Day celebrations across the province.
The meeting was attended by Corps Commander Balochistan, Lieutenant General Rahat Naseem Ahmad Khan, along with senior officials.
The meeting reviewed in detail the arrangements and comprehensive strategy to ensure that the national day is celebrated with discipline, enthusiasm, and patriotic spirit. It was decided that Independence Day programs will be organized in all divisional and district headquarters, featuring flag-hoisting ceremonies, national songs, cultural and educational activities, and public gatherings aimed at promoting patriotism and national unity, particularly among the youth.
The Chief Minister directed all commissioners, deputy commissioners, and relevant departments to finalize arrangements on time and ensure maximum public participation. He emphasized that the celebrations must be organized in a dignified and memorable manner, reflecting national pride and unity.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti said that Independence Day is not merely a national festival but a solemn occasion to pay tribute to the sacrifices of martyrs and to renew the nation’s commitment to progress and stability. He assured that the government will guarantee peaceful, secure, and pleasant environments for the celebrations so that citizens can participate without fear.
The meeting also stressed the importance of close coordination among all departments, effective communication, and professional execution of responsibilities to ensure that Independence Day celebrations across Balochistan are conducted with national dignity and grandeur.
