Quetta: Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti has inaugurated the Chief Minister Youth Employment Program, a landmark initiative aimed at equipping the province’s youth with modern technical skills and providing them with sustainable employment opportunities.
Under this flagship program, 1, 000 talented and capable young men and women from across Balochistan will receive practical training and formal employment placements in Pakistan’s renowned software houses.
The program is being implemented under the supervision of the Balochistan Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (B-TEVTA) in collaboration with Q-Tech. Applications were received through an online portal to ensure transparency, and the implementation phase has now formally begun.
For the past three days, shortlisting tests and interviews have been conducted for thousands of students from all districts, including remote areas, reflecting the growing interest in technical fields across the province.
A unique feature of this initiative is that the Government of Balochistan will bear all expenses related to training, accommodation, and other facilities through B-TEVTA. This ensures that selected youth face no financial burden and can fully focus on skill development and employment.
Students and their families have warmly welcomed the Chief Minister’s forward-looking, employment-friendly initiative. They expressed confidence that professional IT training of this scale will not only showcase Balochistan’s talent at national and international levels but also serve as a milestone in reducing unemployment across the province.
