Delegation of Federal Urdu University visits the Mausoleum of Baba-e-Urdu


Karachi: The death anniversary of Baba-e-Urdu, Maulvi Abdul Haq, was observed across the country with great respect and reverence. In Karachi, a delegation of the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST) visited the mausoleum of Baba-e-Urdu, where a special ceremony was held to pay tribute to his outstanding services to the Urdu language and literature.



On behalf of Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Zabta Khan Shinwari, Registrar Professor Dr. Syed Inayat Ali Shah and Dean and Campus In-charge Dr. Kamal Haider laid a floral chadar at the mausoleum and offered Fateha.



University officers, faculty members and other relevant personnel were also present on the occasion. The delegation prayed for the elevation of Baba-e-Urdu’s ranks and for the progress, prosperity and well-being of the country and the nation.



In his message on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Zabta Khan Shinwari said that Baba-e-Urdu Maulvi Abdul Haq was a great benefactor of the Urdu language and literature and one of the most prominent figures of the country’s intellectual and literary heritage.



He dedicated his entire life to the promotion, preservation and advancement of the Urdu language. He said that the Federal Urdu University is the custodian of Baba-e-Urdu’s great mission and would continue to fulfill its academic and research responsibilities for the promotion of Urdu language and literature with dedication.
