Faisalabad: The first Faisalabad Division Independence Day Age Group (Boys) Swimming Championship 2026 is set to make a splash at University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) by bringing together young swimmers, senior athletes and veterans of the sport in a multi-age competition on August 13, 2026.
According to the organizers, Sports Department UAF would arrange the championship in collaboration with Punjab Swimming Association to provide swimmers from across the division an opportunity to showcase their skills and compete in different age categories.
The championship would be held at the 50-meter swimming pool of University of Agriculture Faisalabad from 4:30 p. m. on Thursday (August 13).
The swimmers would compete in age categories of Under-06, Under-08, Under-10, Under-12, Under-14 and Under-16 while an open category has also been included in the championship.
The competition would further feature senior age groups of 41 to 50 years, 51 to 60 years and above 60 years, making the event a broad-based swimming championship catering to participants from children to veteran swimmers.
The registration would be available on the spot, enabling eligible swimmers to register at the venue before participating in the championship.
The participants were directed to bring one photograph along with their identification documents including CNIC/ID card, Smart Card, Family Registration Certificate (FRC) or B-Form as they would not be allowed to participate without the required documents.
The championship was being organized as part of Independence Day activities. It was aimed at promoting swimming, encouraging healthy sporting activities among young people and providing a competitive platform for swimmers of different age groups.
