Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department, in collaboration with the Communication and Works (CandW) Department, has launched a joint initiative to establish safe blood transfusion center in Buner.
A joint technical team from both departments conducted a comprehensive field survey on Friday to assess local infrastructure and finalize logistics.
Following the evaluation, the team officially proposed the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Buner as the ideal site for the new facility. Integrating the center into the DHQ Hospital premises aims to streamline regional healthcare delivery.
Once operational, the modern facility will ensure a steady supply of safely screened, disease-free blood and vital blood products to both public and private healthcare centers across the district.
