Lahore: Pakistan Railways held a special ceremony at its headquarters on Friday to celebrate the 79th Independence Day of Pakistan with national spirit and enthusiasm.
Chief Executive Officer Pakistan Railways Muhammad Hafizullah hoisted the national flag at the main ceremony, which was attended by senior railway officers, including AIG Administration Railways, and a large number of employees.
As a symbol of independence and a commitment to a prosperous future, the CEO Railways also planted a sapling at the headquarters. Prayers were offered for the development and prosperity of Pakistan Railways and the security and stability of the country.
Muhammad Hafizullah also cut a cake to mark Independence Day. The Railway Police Band presented various national songs, showcasing its musical skills and adding to the festive atmosphere.
Later,the CEO Railways visited Kiran Hospital, where he inquired about the health of patients and expressed his good wishes for their speedy recovery.
