Gujrat: Police arrested three suspects and recovered 2. 24 kilograms of hashish along with an illegal weapon during separate operations carried out against drug peddlers and illegal weapon holders in the jurisdiction of B-Division Police Station on Sunday.
According to police sources, Station House Officer (SHO) B-Division Sub-Inspector Raja Shahroz, along with his team, conducted the targeted operations and successfully apprehended the suspects.
During the action, the police team recovered 1, 080 grams of hashish from an accused identified as Noman Zafar, son of Zafar Iqbal, a resident of Sabowal. In another raid, 1, 160 grams of hashish was seized from Sajjad, son of Aslam, a resident of Mohalla Ali Pura.
Furthermore, the police recovered a 30-bore pistol from the possession of a third suspect, Muhammad Ikhlaq, son of Dilawar Hussain, a resident of Faisalabad.
The police registered separate cases against the arrested suspects and further investigations was underway.
