Lahore: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Monday departed for Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, on a three-day visit.
During the visit, the prime minister will address the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit and present Pakistan’s perspective on various regional and global issues.
The premier will also attend the SCO Plus Summit and participate as the chief guest in the opening ceremony of the World Nomad Games.
He will hold bilateral meetings with leaders of various countries participating in the SCO Summit. The meetings will focus on bilateral relations, trade and investment, regional cooperation and other matters of mutual interest.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will also hold a bilateral meeting with Kyrgyzstan President Sadyr Japarov to review all aspects of bilateral relations between Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan.
The two sides will also discuss ways to promote trade and investment, energy cooperation, regional connectivity, education, tourism and people-to-people contacts.
Federal Ministers Jam Kamal Khan, Aleem Khan and Attaullah Tarar are also accompanying the prime minister.
