Renowned Journalists Laud Transformation of BNBWU Sukkur


Sukkur: A distinguished delegation of renowned journalists and media professionals from across the country visited the Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University (BNBWU), Sukkur, said a release issued here on Saturday.



The delegation was warmly received by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Tehmina Nangraj.



The visiting delegation included senior journalist and analyst Mazhar Abbas, columnist and Daily Dawn writer Suhail Sangi, former Director IBA-CEJ Ambar Rahim Shamsi, former Director News Owais Toheed, Dr. Tauseef Ahmed of Federal Urdu University, writer and columnist Nazish Brohi, Head of Jang Forum Karachi Akram Khan, Executive Director of Center for Media Development (CMD) Noreen Shams, Editor Monthly Dastak and Executive Director Women Media Center (WMC) Fouzia Shaheen, News Editor Daily Dawn Karachi Nizamuddin Siddiqui, CEO SRSO Zulfiqar Kalhoro, Ajiz Jamali of Channel 21, and Asad Mumtaz, programme anchor and contributor to Daily Guardian.



During the visit, the delegation interacted with faculty members and students and took a detailed round of the university campus.



The journalists highly appreciated the remarkable transformation of the university from a barren piece of land into a vibrant, green and modern campus in a short span of time. They lauded the extensive development work, state-of-the-art academic facilities, conducive learning environment and the recruitment of highly qualified faculty.



The delegation acknowledged the significant contribution of BNBWU Sukkur towards providing quality higher education and empowering women in upper Sindh and adjoining regions.
