ATC rejects bail pleas of 3 banned religious party workers

Lahore: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Wednesday rejected the post-arrest bail applications of three workers of a banned religious party in a case involving rioting, arson and an attack on police.

ATC Judge Shahid Sikandar announced the verdict after hearing arguments on the bail applications filed by the accused.

The court rejected the bail pleas of Nabeel Ahmed, Hafiz Tahir and Shehryar.

The accused are facing a case registered as FIR No. 2851/25 at Gujjarpura Police Station. The prosecution opposed their release on bail, arguing that the accused were allegedly involved in arson and violence against police personnel.

The prosecutor submitted that the accused were present at the scene and had actively participated in the rioting and arson. The prosecution therefore requested the court to dismiss their bail applications.

After hearing the arguments from both sides, the ATC rejected the post-arrest bail petitions of all three accused.
