Karachi: Commissioner Karachi, Syed Hasan Naqvi, visited Darul Uloom Mujaddidia Naeemia Malir on Tuesday to review the arrangements for the procession of Jashn-e-Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him) on the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal in Malir here.
He met with the Chief Administrator (Mohtamim Aala) Mufti Muhammad Jan Naeemi, Chief Organizer (Nazim Aala) Mufti Muhammad Nazeer Jan Naeemi, and other representatives.
Deputy Commissioner Malir Samiullah Nisar Sheikh, Municipal Commissioner Imran Nazir, Assistant Commissioner Sami Ali, senior police officers, and senior officials of relevant departments were also present during the meeting.
The Commissioner was informed that the procession starting from Darul Uloom Mujaddidia Naeemia on the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal will be the traditionally grand procession of the city in celebration of Eid Milad-un-Nabi, and a large number of people are expected to participate in it.
The procession will commence from Darul Uloom and, passing through Mohabbat Nagar, Bakra Peeri, Malir 15, and Saudabad, will conclude back at Darul Uloom.
According to the handout, the Commissioner of Karachi will also participate in the procession.
The Deputy Commissioner informed that special measures have been taken for security, cleanliness, traffic management, and the installation of street lights for the occasion.
The Commissioner directed the Deputy Commissioner Malir to oversee the arrangements to ensure the provision of security and civic facilities on this occasion.
He further instructed him to hold an immediate meeting with the concerned officials to finalize the plans, emphasizing the need to ensure all facilities, including robust security, smooth traffic flow, and alternative traffic arrangements.
