Rawalpindi: City Police Officer (CPO), Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera has taken notice after a video allegedly showing a woman being kept in illegal confinement surfaced, ordering a transparent investigation into the matter.
According to police spokesperson, a case has been registered at Pirwadhai Police Station on the complaint of the woman’s father.
The CPO has directed Superintendent of Police, Rawal and Deputy Superintendent of Police, City to conduct an impartial investigation into the incident on merit and submit a detailed report. Police spokesperson said further action would be taken in accordance with the findings of the investigation.
