Abbottabad: A four-day professional training programme, ‘Write to Earn 2026,’ concluded at Baragali Summer Camp, with 60 young people from various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including the merged districts, completing the training.
The programme was organized by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Youth Affairs Department in collaboration with the Department of History, University of Peshawar, from August 24 to 27.
The training focused on practical and market-oriented skills, including proposal writing, research writing and online freelancing, aimed at helping youth access employment, entrepreneurship and digital economy opportunities.
Participants received practical training in project design, preparation of funding proposals, research methodology, academic writing and proper referencing.
They were also trained in creating professional online profiles, communicating with clients and earning through digital platforms.
The sessions were conducted by trainers Dr. Asfandiyar Durrani and Yasir Sarmad. Addressing the concluding ceremony, Chairman Department of History, University of Peshawar, Dr. Altaf Qadir, said research and writing were essential for knowledge and development. He stressed the need to provide youth with platforms to transform their ideas into effective proposals and professional opportunities.
Other speakers said youth in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, particularly those from the merged districts, possessed great potential and needed market-oriented skills to become self-reliant and contribute to the province’s socio-economic development.
Officials of the Youth Affairs Department and University of Peshawar reaffirmed their commitment to organizing similar programmes in the future. Certificates were distributed among the participants at the conclusion of the ceremony.
