Independence Day to be celebrated as a day of gratitude: Coordinator Paigham-e-Aman Committee


Karachi: The Coordinator of the Provincial Paigham-e-Aman Committee Sindh and Administrator Jamia Binoria Al-Almia. Dr. Mufti Noman Naeem has stated that Independence Day on August 14 will be observed as a day of gratitude and unity.



He said that the Ulema and Imams of mosque should highlight the struggle for the making of Pakistan. the services of the Ulema and religious institutions. national stability. religious tolerance. unity of the Ummah. and national solidarity in their Friday sermons.



While speaking to a delegation of mosque imams at Jamia Binoria Al-Almia on Monday. he said that Pakistan is a great blessing from Allah Almighty. for which our elders waged a long struggle and rendered countless sacrifices.



The religious seminaries and Ulema of the subcontinent played a prominent role not only in religious education and upbringing but also in the independence of the homeland and national awakening. he said.



Mufti Noman said that from the War of Independence in 1857 to the Pakistan Movement. the Ulema struggled against imperialism. endured the hardships of imprisonment. and offered countless sacrifices.



The history of our independence is incomplete without the sacrifices of these Ulema and freedom fighters. he said. therefore. it is a national responsibility to educate the new generation about their services and struggles.



He appealed to all Ulema. mosque imams. and religious institutions to promote national solidarity by highlighting the sacrifices and role of the Ulema in the creation and stability of Pakistan in their sermons. and to organize special prayers for the country’s security. peace. progress. prosperity. and stability.



He added that August 14 is not just a day of celebration. but also a day to renew our national pledge. We must vow to maintain peace in the country. respect the law. avoid hatred and discord. and play a positive role in the progress and prosperity of Pakistan.
