Lahore: The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Lahore sealed two industrial units which were burning garbage and emitting smoke while taking action on Adda Plot Raiwind Road.
During the action, the EPA field team took action against Bilal Switchgear and Otto Engineering for violating environmental laws and sealed both units.
During the action, burning garbage was also identified near the industrial units, which the EPA team extinguished on the spot.
Deputy Director EPA Ali Ijaz has said that no one will be allowed to pollute the city’s air with toxic fumes.
He urged industrial and commercial units to dispose of their waste in an environmentally friendly manner and avoid burning garbage.
Ali Ijaz directed EPA field teams to keep a close watch on incidents of burning garbage in the city and take indiscriminate action against those violating environmental laws.
