Peshawar: The All Pakistan Universities Employees Federation, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has strongly condemned the incident reported at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University (SBBWU) Sheringal in Upper Dir, where a group of students allegedly vandalized university facilities and damaged public property.
In a statement, the federation’s provincial president said such incidents adversely affect the academic environment of the university and negatively impact the performance of teachers and other university employees.
He urged the government and relevant authorities to ensure the safety and security of university employees, students and public property, and demanded strict legal action against those involved in the incident.
The federation stressed that a peaceful and secure academic environment was essential for the smooth functioning of educational institutions.
